A community-based gender equity driven nutrition program.

Nutrition through a multi-sectoral approach.
A community-based gender equity driven nutrition program, implemented in collaboration with the Chemba District Council. In 2018, through financial support from Irish Aid, COUNSENUTH introduced this project to support the Chemba District Council’s efforts towards addressing malnutrition.
The program addresses nutrition through a multi-sectoral approach including Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC), VHNDs and mainstreaming gender interventions into nutrition using the TRLA approach, with active involvement of local communities (men, women, teachers, students, health workers, community leaders, extension workers, and community health workers) within existing national infrastructure. In June 2021, the Center entered the fourth year of implementation.
