Prof. Tiisekwa is a professor of Food Science and Technology, with wide and varied experience of over 30 years in teaching, research, consultancies and management in agriculture and nutrition. He has worked for many years in incremental positions, from a Lecturer up to the position of Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and professor at the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He is currently the Country Director of the African Institute for Capacity Development, a Regional International Organization based at SUA. He also continues to teach at the Department of Food Science and Technology and Nutrition and Consumer Sciences (DFTNCS), at SUA. He has sat on many Boards and Advisory Councils including once a Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre. He brings to COUNSENUTH a wealth of experience knowledge in agriculture and nutrition as well as research.
